When is the last time you heard someone say this?
This is probably foreign language, a foreign concept to many young adults, probably start an arguement with a young (mind controlled, propagandized, brain washed) adult. The time around the bi-centennial, 1976 (spirit of 1776) was perhaps the last time your heard people say or think this...It used to be a popular, COMMMON THOUGHT, response, to resolve most any argument as to how we arrived at a certain decsion or why are acted in a certain manner. We are talking three decades ago, a generation. That thought has been successfully removed from the social consciousness, like cloud seeding. (What is cloud seeding?...exactly).
The Patriot Act, which was WRITTEN in ADVANCE of 9/11 (this will take some crtitcal thinking here) put the nail in the coffin if 'it is a free country' if that thought still existed by then. The group think (part of the shadow govts/CIA many mind control projects) - give up freedom to get security...we of course now have a police state, more restrictive than other nations but that is ok because we have entertainment and other distractions.
"Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."
Benjamin Franklin, 1759 US author, diplomat, inventor, physicist, politician, & printer
